Dr. D. Purandeswari, Honourable Minister of State for HRD, Hyderabad Central University, Gachibowli, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. This is the first interactive meeting between the Central ad state supported institutions in Andhra Pradesh. Regular meetings of Heads of Institutions to identify areas of collaboration would be helpful. This will also be useful to identify common areas of research and teaching. Given the large number of institutions in the city, there is inevitable duplication, and perhaps some of this can be shared. There should be a good interaction between the State & Central Universities. The qualities should be improved in the State universities. Universities should highly interact with these communities. The participation of institutions of higher learning in public is at present minimal. A closer link between institutions should result in better facilities for education for our students.
