Dr. Bhure Lal, Chairman, EPCA at the round table Conference - Hyderabad City Dialogue on Air Quality and Transportation Challenge: An Agenda for Action. I am happy to be amongst you today. I must complement CSE and AP Pollution Control Board for having this excellent explanation of the problems that the citizens of the city are facing and will be facing in the times to come. We need to wake up otherwise events will overtake. We need to change our mindset, our way of living. This will be possible only then. We need to curb our needs as these kinds of feelings will lead to death, destruction & poverty. Mobility will come to a standstill one day. The projections are the speed of the vehicles will be 5-6 km/hr within 10/15 yrs. People will prefer walking than take a vehicle.
