State Bank is happy to announce that target given to complete the Financial Inclusion Plan 2010-2012. Andhra Pradesh had 6,661 unbanked villages with population of 2,000 and above at the beginning of FIP. 1,369 of these villages were allotted to SBI. Making use of the Information & Communication Technology (ICT), we have completed the coverage of all the 1,369 villages. They are Brick & Mortar branches-35, Business Correspondents (BCs)-1157, Bank on Bile (BoB)-162 (by 69 BCs), Bank on Wheels (BoW)-15 (by 2 BCs). The BCs are the Customer Service Points (CSPs) located in the villages. Opening of zero balance no frill accounts has been permitted by the bank under FIP to encourage maximum coverage.
