Dr. Y.V Reddy, Former Governor, Reserve Bank of India, Hotel Westin, Raheja IT Park, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. I am happy to see many distinguished personalities who came with anxiety to listen Dr. Pattabhi Sitaramayya Memorial Lecture. Every individual should learn lessons from his life. In his life time he mainly learnt through the scholarships apart from the religious issues. Pattabhi made Machalipatnam the centre of his activities. At Machalipatnam he started the Andhra Bank. He is better known as the historian of the Indian National Congress committee and gave up his medical practice. He was very unique in founding educational institutions, banks, insurance. Nevertheless as far as the early twenties we find the Congress passing resolutions about foreign policy.
