IPL 2020 New Rules: IPL Governing Council has given the green signal to this tournament after a long struggle. So before the tournament starts, we must know the new rules.
The IPL 2020 will start on 19 September. Usually, these tournaments are played in India every year in the month of March-April. But due to Coronavirus infection, this time this tournament will be in UAE. In the first match, Mumbai Indians will clash with Chennai Super Kings. There will be many major changes this time in the tournament running till 10 November. Actually, due to Corona, this time IPL (IPL 2020) was expected to be postponed. But the IPL Governing Council has given the green signal to this tournament after a long struggle. So before the tournament starts, we must know the new rules.

1. Not used lar: Saliva is usually used to swing the ball in cricket. But this time due to the coronavirus, players will not be able to respect it. The ICC has banned the use of saliva to shine the ball due to corona. Each team will be warned twice. In the third time, 5 runs will be added to the opposition team’s account as a penalty. Also, after the toss, the captains of both teams will not be able to join hands with each other.

2. Unlimited Corona Substitute: Due to the increasing infection of the corona, provision has been made for the Unlimited Corona Substitute. That is, if a player has a corona in the tournament, the team will be able to replace him with another player. According to the rule, only the bowler can replace the batsman and the bowler.

3. Third umpire no-ball: For the first time in the IPL, the rule of third umpire no ball is being brought. Now the match will see the third umpire replacing the bowler’s front foot no-ball field umpire. Last year, these rules were trialed in the India-West Indies ODI series. 4.53 days tournament: This time the IPL will be played for 53 days due to Corona. That is 3 days more than the last two seasons.

4. Doubleheader: This time doubleheader is kept for 10 days. That is, there will be two matches in 10 days a day.

5. Match Time: This time there has been a change in the time of the matches. This time the match will start half an hour ago i.e. 7:30 pm. The day the two matches are played, the first match will start at 3:30 pm. The first matches were at 8 pm and 4 pm.
