9th EDITION AIRTEL HYDERABAD MARATHON
#HyderabadRunnersSociety and #BhartiAirtel in association with Government of Telangana announced the launch of the 9th edition of the #AirtelHyderabadMarathon. This annual city sporting event will be held on August 24 and 25 with active participation of over 25,000 runners from across the city, country and overseas. Additionally, around 3,500 volunteers from the city put their efforts into the event. Considered to be among the leading & challenging city marathons in India, this race also marks the beginning of the Marathon season in India.On August 25, the 10K Half Marathon (21.095 km) & Full Marathon (42.195 km) will be
conducted. Exclusive 5k timed run for the corporate heads will be held on August 24.
“The Department of Sports is dedicated to developing all aspects of the wellness of our citizens by creating new experiences to grow the running culture. This event is a great opportunity for citizens to come together to challenge our limits, and encourage one another in our journey to stay active.At the launch event, we are thrilled to continue what has been an incredible relationship with the Hyderabad Marathon, said, Avneet Singh Puri, CEO, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, Bharti Airtel Ltd. Dr Murali Nannapaneni, president, Hyderabad Runners Society said, “The Hyderabad Runners is always committed to running and the promotion of wellness. Apart from promoting running, we also reach out to those in need of help. We are proud to extend our support to over 40 participating NGOs who are focused on providing solutions to important real-world issues such as education, healthcare, disability care, animal rights, human rights and equality among others.”
